I have 20+ years working as a gardener/landscaper with Aardvark's Landscaping & Lawn Care. During the same time period during the off season, my partner and I opened Crystal Glide Ski & Board Services in North Vancouver. It continues to be a thriving business today.
I worked sporadically in the film industry and joined the I.A.T.S.E. 891 film union in Vancouver B.C. in 2017. I was employed as a Greensman. This is the area of set construction that involves all the necessary trees, plants, and lawns that are required for each specific set.

Is a ski service shop specializing in tuning skies and mounting bindings in North Vancouver B.C.
We service our own customers as well as having contracts to do the tuning for the Comar Sports stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver. This is a two man operation started by me and my partner in 2002 and thriving today.

Greensmen work hand in hand with construction , set decoration and painting trades all under direction of the producer to build desired sets. Cooperation and coordinating work with fellow trades is essential in film production. I worked occasionally in film starting in 2006/2007 (day calls) until joining the union (I.A.T.S.E. 891) and getting more full time work in 2017.

Performed fall and spring cleanup to clear brush and debris from landscaped areas.
Used shears, pruners and chainsaws to prune and trim hedges and shrubs.
Provided expert lawn care, mulching, aerating and trimming around walks, walls and flower beds.
Maintained routine landscaping schedules to boost lawn health.
