Types of Assignments: Domestic Relocations, Expatriate Assignments (Long, Short, and Intermediate) Cross Border Relocations. Partnering closely with vendors – Global Relocation vendor, Immigration Vendor and Tax Vendor.
- Responsible for the day-to-day assignment management and administrative processes involved in the global mobility caseload.
- This includes support with general immigration and global mobility policy queries, vendor initiations (such as global relocation vendor, immigration vendor and tax vendor) and preparing assignment documentation and may also include some assignment case management.
- Delivery of the day-to-day operational activities in relation to moving employees on assignment, domestically or cross border.
- Working as part of the global mobility team to provide our employees with a high standard tailored Global Mobility service that is efficient, responsive, and cost effective, while providing customers with a positive client experience.
- Support the Regional Global Mobility Manager to ensure that business planning, needs and objectives remain core to Mobility operations.
- Partner with business stakeholders and Strategic Business Unit Heads, HR, Finance, and other groups to enable ongoing tax and immigration compliance and improve knowledge and understanding in this area.
- Support the Regional Global Mobility Manager to undertake a global mobility policy review to ensure we have the right policies in place to move employees around the world on assignment.
- Work closely with global third-party providers to provide the assignee a seamless experience (including professional tax support services, household goods shipment, destination services, international medical insurance, and immigration services).
- Support in the implementation and effectively utilize the Assignment Management System to continue to improve global mobility delivery, reduce costs and improve management information.
Payroll Administrator - Liberty Life Head Office

- Prepare and remit monthly superannuation contributions and quarterly employee statements.

Global Mobility Consultant - Standard Bank Head Office

Coordinate and track all types of international assignments and act as key point of contact for group companies and service suppliers in all matters pertaining to management of internationally mobile employees.
- Coordinate and track all types of international assignments, including, short term Assignments, long term assignments and permanent transfers.
- Act as the key point of contact for the different group companies and service suppliers in all matters pertaining to the management of internationally mobile employees.
- Provide input to the development of international assignment policies and processes.
- Develop and maintain an international database with all relevant expat information and documentation.
- Use the database to proactively manage and support expats, particularly in terms of administration of passports, visas, work permits, medical cover, time out of country etc.
- Coordinate and track all expat contracts and amendments.
- Build and maintain a service supplier database and build relationships with key suppliers: International moving companies, Relocation experts (cultural assimilation, language training), Immigration experts, Housing and school agencies, International medical providers.
- Co-ordinate pre-assignment visits where appropriate.
- Support all aspects of an expats move to ensure that the experience is a positive one (identification of moving companies, coordination of quotes, clarification of policy, family support in finding accommodation and schools if appropriate etc.).
- Manage logistics (flights, accommodation, transport, office requirements etc.).
- Ensure new expats are placed on the correct benefit schemes and any changes to the family status are advised to the provider to ensure appropriate cover at all times.
- Provide support to the families as required to ensure that they settle and are happy in the new location.
- Co-ordinate and track the reimbursement of expenses and allowances in adherence to the relevant policies including annual cost reconciliation per expat.
- Interpret assignment policies and provide expert guidance and advice to affected parties.
- Co-ordinate the life cycle of an expat from identification to placement to repatriation and provide support throughout the process.
- Track payments and provide reconciliations for international employees.
- Prepare management reports to enable tracking of international resources.
- Coordinate the end of assignment process including re-assignment, repatriation, localization etc.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and the principles of good governance in the various countries.
