• Designed very low power 'always-on' circuitry for stand-by functions, as well as circuitry that reduced battery leakage to less than 100nA, compared to tens of microamps in older designs.
• Developed the required hardware and the PCB to host a GPS system with an active antenna option to obtain fast and accurate timing, as required for a new Sentinel-2 Base Magnetometer instrument.
• Developed a PCB to support an Intel Edison module to add embedded control and WiFi capability for the new Sentinel-2 instrument that included USB ports to download logged data and channel communication debugging.
• Designed hardware and up to 10-layers PCBs to fit noisy and noise-sensitive circuitry, such as SMPS, RS232, RF oscillator and signal processing functions.
