My primary responsibilities included
- Coordinating the overall preparation by liaising with various departments involved in the vessel's scope of work, such as Design Engineering, Offshore Installation Engineering, Procurement, Post Order, and Assets.
- Anticipating, initiating, and overseeing the procurement and logistics of Installation Aids.
- Managing subcontracting activities associated with the vessel, including survey, ROV services, and pre-commissioning.
- Managing the mobilization / demobilization of the Vessel, including project HR preparation and equipment preparation and testing.
- Coordinating offshore operations as project representative on-board the vessel and all required logistics for the vessel.
- Compiling the required information as per the Project Operation Manager guidelines for the Project close-out and return of experience report.
- I was involved in various missions for the BALEINE Phase 1 project: FDS2 mobilization in Genova, loadout of flexible reels at BAKER Hughes premises in Newcastle, the loadout of Umbilical reels at Aker Solution premises in Norway, 10-week offshore assignment during FDS2 campaign (SURF, Structures, and PLET installation) and demobilizations in Rotterdam Saipem's logistic base.

In this role, my primary responsibility involved executing installation procedures for all vessels engaged in long-term charters, specifically focusing on low to medium complexity projects in deep water operations. It was crucial to adhere to project rules and meet deadlines. The scope of operations encompassed line/umbilical installation, recovery, pull-in, pull-out, tie-ins, and direct vertical connections.
- Thoroughly reviewing and planning all available data for executing operations.
- Calculating critical loads and determining catenary configurations during operations, as well as assessing the tightening load applied to flexible pipelines.
- Identifying and addressing any hazards or potential risks throughout the project.
- Defining rigging, moorage, flexible track, storage configuration, flexible recovery velocity, and preparing the bill of materials based on operational requirements.
- Verifying all drawings produced by the draftsman to ensure accuracy.
- Conducting ORCAFLEX analyses for critical operations, such as direct vertical and horizontal connections (1st and 2nd end).
- I collaborated on offshore campaigns during my tenure, serving aboard the PLSV Skandi Niteroi (installation capacity of 270 tons) and the PLSV Top Coral do Atlântico (installation capacity of 550 tons) in Brazil.
Project Operations Engineer - Efacec

I was involved in the construction of water and waste water pumping stations, dealing with and analyzing several static and rotating equipment and piping layouts. This role included taking responsibility for the installation and commissioning of all the mechanical equipment (electrical pumps and motors, electrical and manual valves, pipelines, etc.) of two Water Pumping Stations, Pedrogão (1.9 MW power supply) and Selmes (3.6 MW power supply).
