I currently work full-time with my present employer however I am looking for part-time evening and weekend opportunities as I am now an empty nester.
Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, I have developed, implemented, and/or improved client’s HR programs to align with their desired mission, values, and culture. I analyze, research, and identify relevant legislation, best practices, and emerging trends to help my clients position themselves for future opportunities and challenges and adjust their operating models as needed.
I develop and implement strategies in the areas of recruitment, orientation, onboarding, training and development, performance management, total rewards, policy and procedures, environment, health and safety, compliance, business continuity, organizational design, and more.
I possess a thorough understanding of provincial labour legislation and have a familiarity with federal labour legislation. I am skilled in coaching, mentoring, and providing consultation, expert advice, and guidance to management and staff. I am adept at coaching all stakeholders on corporate, market, and societal issues as they come forward.
I also have expertise in the areas of health and safety, wellness, compliance (ISO and COR), succession planning/job mapping, payroll, business continuity, corporate social responsibility, and facilities management. I am an excellent listener, warm communicator, and a skilled relationship builder. I am very comfortable with facilitating webinar presentations and client meetings.
I work well in dynamic environments, where my job evolves along with the changing needs of my clients and company. I’m used to dealing with ambiguity and reprioritizing tasks in response to unexpected changes in events/requests.
I am an accomplished professional with over 25 years of progressively senior experience in Human Resources, Environment Health and Safety, Compliance, and Consulting. I am skilled in HR Strategy, Policy and Program Development, the EVP, Stakeholder Relations, Sustainability, Business Continuity, and more.
Having assumed both exempt and non-exempt roles within union and non-union environments, I have gained a thorough knowledge and understanding of various legislations, regulations, standards, CBAs, and industry best practices.
My education rests in my performing various HR roles over the past 25+ years. I am fully trained in talent acquisition, labour relations, employee relations, compliance, and every other facet of HR Operations. I obtained a High Honours Diploma in HR Management at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Science in 1994.
