s a dedicated and experienced social justice advocate, I am committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) through a decolonial lens. I bring expertise in community outreach, event coordination, and project management, and have a proven track record of driving positive change and promoting equity and inclusion. My work is grounded in the principles of intersectionality and decolonization, recognizing the interconnected nature of systems of oppression and the need for an inclusive and decolonial approach to social justice.
In particular, I am inspired by the Master's Tools of Audre Lorde, who challenged us to question the status quo and to use our own unique experiences and perspectives to drive change. I seek to use my skills and knowledge to amplify underrepresented voices and to work collaboratively with others to create a more just and equitable society.
I am a dedicated social justice advocate with a 4-year bachelor's degree in Honors Double Major in Social Justice and Peace Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies from Western University. I have demonstrated my leadership abilities as the President of the King's University College Student Council, CEO, and Vice President of Student Affairs. My experience also includes anti-racist mentoring and research, where I contributed to improving the campus racial climate.
I have honed my skills as a program coordinator at Young London Non-Profit and as the co-creator/founder of the BIPOC Support Group. My skill set encompasses persuasive communication, visionary leadership, equity advocacy, research proficiency, program coordination, inclusive community building, collaborative relationship building, strategic problem-solving, and effective time management.
