My name is Runaal Parmar, and I am a recent graduate of the Computer Engineering M.Eng program at the University of Waterloo. Prior to my masters, I received a BASc Honours Mechatronics Engineering degree, from Waterloo as well.

• Developed features for ROS nodes using C++ to dynamically manage and configure robot camera feed settings.
• Architected an automated build system for containerizing ROS package dependencies using Docker.
• Implemented a tool using Bash and Jenkins to manage and deploy Docker images stored on AWS ECR.
• Facilitated seamless onboarding of developers by mitigating the frequency of package dependency conflicts.

Wind River Systems | Hypervisor Development Engineer | Sept 2018 – Dec 2018

• Designed and implemented a system-wide testing platform using Python, allowing for automated stability testing and benchmarking of multiple VxWorks virtual machines running simultaneously.
• Collaborated with integration team to automate various feature/regression test suites, using Bash and Python.

IKO Industries | Reliability Engineer | Dec 2017 – Apr 2018

• Developed VBA scripts to automate the process of transferring plant asset records to the Maximo management software. This reduced processing times for maintenance records by 80%, as compared to the prior system.
