I am a PhD candidate from University of Toronto, expected to graduate in summer 2024. My current research project spans the fields of biochemistry, microbiology and molecular genetics. I'm characterizing a bacteriophage tail-like protein complex identified in the genome of many bacteria. In my spare time, I work as a private math and physics tutor for middle schoolers, as well as a freelance medical writer.
Currently, I am a PhD candidate studying microbiology, biochemistry and molecular genetics at University of Toronto (2018-current). I have been a undergraduate research student at UC Davis (2013-2014) and full-time research assistant at UCLA (2016-2017). Besides my research life, I have also worked with MedSci as a medical writer (2021-2022) , with TopOnlineTutors as a virtual private tutor (2022-2023).
I went to University of California, Davis for Biological sciences from 2012 to 2014, and I transferred to University of California, Los Angeles in 2014 for microbiology, immunology, molecular genetics and finished my B.Sc (Honors) in 2016. I started my PhD at University of Toronto with the department of Molecular Genetics in the fall of 2017 and I will be finishing up in the summer of 2024.
