I am a dedicated dental hygienist with a strong background in preventive healthcare, specializing in oral health programs for at-risk communities. My experience includes developing and implementing initiatives that promote oral health among individuals with disabilities and children, ensuring equitable access to care and education. Through collaboration with healthcare professionals and community organizations, I strive to improve overall health outcomes by integrating oral health into broader public health strategies.
My passion lies in creating inclusive, evidence-based programs that empower communities to achieve better oral and overall health.
I have extensive experience in dental hygiene with a strong focus on preventive care and community health. Most recently, I worked as a Full Time Pediatric Dental Hygienist at SmileSquad Kids Dental + Orthodontics in Toronto (Sept. 2023 - Dec. 2024), where I conducted patient screenings, including airway assessments and cavity consultations, while collaborating on comprehensive treatment plans. I also worked to improve appointment accessibility for children facing barriers to care by implementing alternative scheduling options tailored to their needs. Prior to this, I was a Full-Time Dental Hygienist at College Street Dental & St.
Dental (Oct. 2022 - July 2023), where I provided preventative oral health services and supported palliative treatment efforts.
Beyond my dental hygiene experience, I have developed strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in various roles. As a Part Time Server at Joey’s Eaton Centre (July 2022 - July 2023), I anticipated guest needs and ensured seamless front-of-house operations. Additionally, I have a background in education, having worked as a Tutor at Langara College and Sylvan Learning (Jan. 2018 - April 2022), where I created engaging learning environments and provided individualized academic support.
My diverse experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and develop inclusive, patient-centered care strategies.
I hold a Bachelor of Dental Sciences from the University of British Columbia (Sept. 2018 - April 2023), where I achieved a GPA of 3.83. My coursework included Oral Epidemiology, Policy Analysis & Change, Biomedical Ethics, and Operation Logistics, providing me with a strong foundation in public health, ethical decision-making, and healthcare management. Prior to this, I completed a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences at Langara College (Sept. 2017 - Aug. 2018) with a GPA of 4.13, focusing on Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Micro/Macroeconomics, and Psychology.
This academic background has equipped me with both the scientific knowledge and analytical skills necessary for leading effective oral health initiatives.
