I am submitting my application for the Construction Site Safety Supervisor position with NextStar Energy. With over 30 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction, including leadership roles as General Foreman and Health & Safety Officer, I bring proven field authority, regulatory expertise, and a track record of enforcing high safety standards on complex job sites.

Safety has been a central responsibility throughout my career—not an added duty. I have led incident investigations, implemented corrective action plans, conducted site audits, and enforced compliance with OHSA regulations and company policies. I have consistently delivered clear safety direction through daily toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), hazard assessments, and crew mentoring. My approach is firm, consistent, and proactive: identify risks early, correct them immediately, and hold teams accountable.

As a General Foreman, I supervised crews, coordinated subcontractors, and worked directly with project managers and inspectors to ensure all work was performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. I understand how to balance productivity with uncompromising safety standards, and I am comfortable making decisive calls when conditions are not safe.

I bring strong documentation skills, disciplined reporting practices, and the ability to communicate expectations clearly across all levels of a project—from trades to senior management. Most importantly, I believe safety leadership requires presence, consistency, and integrity. I lead by example and foster a culture where safe work practices are the standard, not the exception.
