Sarah Simmons

I am currently working as an Employee Wellness and Engagement Advisor in a rural, community hospital setting. I have extensive administrative and human resources related experience and enjoy working for, and with people. I am a life-long learner, currently enrolled in continuing education courses through McMaster University. I am excited to continue to learn and grow with an organization that promotes career advancement and growth.

I have many years working in administrative services in both public and private sectors, including Public Health, several Hospital settings throughout Ontario, Municipal Government and in private office settings. I have most recently been gaining valuable experience in Human Resources, in a multi-union, hospital setting. The organization I currently work for has allowed me to gain valuable experience with full-cycle recruitment strategies and processes, orientation and onboarding, and employee engagement, wellness and retention.

I have a University Degree (BA, English Major, 2010), a College Diploma (Medical Office Administration, 2012) and a Certificate of Professional Learning in Workplace Wellness and Health and Safety (2022). I am currently completing my HR Management Diploma through McMaster University.
