I have been a newspaper carrier employed by the Canadian Champion for 5 years. I was responsible for the weekly assembly and distribution of newspapers and inserts for the assigned route which was approximately 90 houses. I have demonstrated consistent and reliable community service, a courteous and friendly approach to my clients and excellent time management to meet deadlines.
I have also volunteered with the Elderdog Charity whose aim it is to keep seniors with their canine companions. I was responsible for weekly dog walks and general support for a senior in Milton who was unable to, due to mobility issues. More than just caring for her dog, I was able to provide social connection and companionshiop for a senior who lived alone. It was a valuable experience and taught me the importance of community involvement.
I am a grade 11 student at Bishop Reding SS in Milton. I have always been an honour student and have always valued education. I am currently enrolled in summer school to get ahead for next year as well as I plan to go to University to pursue medicine, law or computer engineering.
