Shalina Patel

I started my career at Xerox and KPMG in the UK in the marketing and brand management space, I then moved with my husband to Toronto where I gained experience in recruitment marketing and employer brand with PwC. Excited by the employer brand space, learning about our employees and amplifying their experience through powerful storytelling, I wanted to expand my experience for a tech start-up with Ada. There I created their first employer brand strategy as they were looking to double growth within the next 8 months - attracting top Canadian talent to join the team.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, learned about the workings of a start-up, and flourished as an individual contributor that could communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders at different levels. I audited and strengthened the full people experience journey, creating consistency in each touch point showcasing trust and transparency as an employer of choice.
