I recently graduated from Concordia University of Edmonton, where I obtained my Bachelor of Education degree. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, minoring in Early Childhood Education. I have experience teaching in a conventional classroom setting in grades 2 and 6. My time as an Inclusion Facilitator with the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services allowed me to work with children with varying special needs and run multiple recreation programs for youth 3-17 years old. Additionally, I coach for the Edmonton Warriors Athletic Association, where I plan, develop, and implement the Winter Development Program and coach a U15 A Female Fastball team.
Outside my professional life, I am adventuring in the mountains with my two dogs outside my professional life. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, fishing, mountain biking, and snowboarding. I grew up playing multiple competitive sports; anything involving the outdoors and competitiveness fuel my soul! I am passionate about creating and working with my hands; thus, I express myself creatively by designing and sewing clothes and macrame.
I have experience teaching in a conventional classroom setting in grades 2 and 6 where I taught all core subjects, Art, Physical Education and Wellness, and Music. In addition, I worked as a tutor where the majority of my time was spent supporting grade 7 Math. The student showed significant improvement with Math skills, motivation, and attitude toward Math. My time as an Inclusion Facilitator with the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services allowed me to work with children with varying special needs and run multiple recreation programs for youth 3-17 years old.The Inclusion program I ran received an outstanding rating of 5/5. Additionally, I coach for the Edmonton Warriors Athletic Association, where I plan, develop, and implement the Winter Development Program and coach a U15 A Female Fastball team. The U15 A team placed second in City Finals.
