About
My name is Sneha, and I am a Registered Nurse licensed in both Alberta and Ontario, with over three years of nursing experience in Canada.
Most recently, I worked as an Industrial Registered Nurse with Mountainview Safety Services at the TransAlta Keephills Power Station in Alberta. In this role, I was responsible for providing on-site medical care, conducting health assessments, managing workplace injuries and medical emergencies, and ensuring the health and safety of workers.
One of my key responsibilities was working independently, using my clinical judgment to assess patients, identify potential emergencies, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate with EMS and the site emergency response team when necessary.
Before moving to Alberta, I worked as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical acute care unit at Norfolk General Hospital in Ontario, where I gained extensive experience managing patients with complex medical conditions, responding to emergencies, administering medications, and providing direct patient care. I also worked as a Charge Nurse, which helped me develop strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
In addition, I have experience working in long-term care as a Charge Nurse.
I have completed several relevant certifications, including BLS, ACLS, WHMIS, CSTS, CSO, H2S Alive, and ECG interpretation training. I have also completed courses in healthcare leadership and management.
I would describe myself as a confident, adaptable, and safety-focused nurse who is comfortable working independently and making critical decisions under pressure.
My recent industrial nursing experience, combined with my acute care background, has strengthened my ability to recognize emergencies early, respond effectively, and provide safe, evidence-based care.
I really enjoyed working in the industrial healthcare setting, and I am looking forward to continuing my career in occupational and industrial nursing, where I can contribute my clinical knowledge, emergency response skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
