Hi, I am a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo, seeking full-time opportunities in entry-level roles in the field of mechanical engineering. I have 2 years of working experience from the internships that I have completed. I love playing competitive sports and watching movies in my free time.
I have 2 years of working experience in the fields of manufacturing, R&D and fiber optics. I spent 8 months at Linamar, an automotive parts manufacturer, where my tasks included calculating monthly cpk and ppk results for the various lines at the plant, and sharing the results with all relevant people. I also created VBA-powered Excel sheets to allow operators to add data easily, instead of writing them on paper, allowing quality engineers to see data live.
In addition, I worked at Animo Tech as a product analyst, my responsibilities included setting up a SOLIDWORKS ecosystem for the company, allowing engineers to make drawings and number part files with a few button clicks. I also created a quality plan to check the dimensional accuracy of injection molded parts. In addition, I designed numerous fixtures to be used to check for design validation, including a force gauge tester, and a fixture to program PCBs with ease, allowing the electrical engineers to program devices 3 times faster.
I have also worked as a junior test engineer at Multimatic, an automotive parts and systems manufacturer. I gained experience setting up tests on automotive components including door slam tests, fatigue testing, and water IP testing. Also, set up tests that I received and wrote detailed reports on the results which were shared with design engineers and customers. Also, I took care of a 2-month, fatigue cycling test, which helped design engineers redesign an injection molded part.
I finally completed my last internship at Lumentum, where I headed a 4-month project that researched alternate curing techniques with UV light. The project included the design of various fixtures, that were also compatible with other projects used by other teams. The results, I gathered were seen as valuable information by my team and were shared with the other teams. In addition, I was the primary designer for the creation of fixtures needed by other engineers.
I have a bachelors in Mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo, with a GPA of 3.3. I have also completed 6 coops during my 5 years there.
