Sonya Panaccione

I am a third year Civil Engineering student graduating in spring 2024. I am looking for an internship this summer to gain experience and to learn new skills. I previously worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor.

It helped me develop many useful skills such as time management, teamwork, and problem solving. I am creative and have joined several clubs at school like the Concordia Concrete Toboggan Team and the Troitsky Bridge Building Competition where we travelled for competitions. I enjoy coding, specifically video game design, and I have made a few games on Unity both by myself and as a team for the Concordia Game Development Club.

I have worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor from 2018 to 2022. I worked for AADDO and for Briarwood pool. I taught swimming lessons and coached classes of up to 12 students for all ages and levels. I worked as a supervisor and I did training for first aid and for water safety. I learned how to work with tight deadlines, how to adapt to my environment and how to deal with public relations.

I am working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at Concordia University. I am in my third year. I started in September 2020 and will graduate in May 2024.
