Biomedical Engineering | Research Assistant

My main focus is to drive forward the development and improvement of current biomedical solutions in medicine via the emergence of novel biotechnology. Previously, I worked as a research and laboratory assistant in the Penninger Lab at the Life Science Institute to optimize protocols for cardiovascular tissue engineering. 3-D modeling and animating the processes to explain the science behind the technology is also one of my favorite activities for research projects, as can be seen through past UBC BIOMOD videos, and UBC Pharmaceutical videos made for the Shyh Dar Li Lab. While I enjoy individually growing as a researcher, I also take pride in supporting the learning of others - advocating the development of skills outside of course-related labs, which is exemplified through my participation in an educational project to deliver cross-institutional learning to the UBC SBME (School of Biomedical Engineering) department.
I look forward to chatting with you if you are interested in getting in touch with me about any of these topics!
