My name is Steven Cook and I'm a student at the University of Western Ontario. I am currently in my second year studying medical sciences and I have a strong passion for pharmacology. I will be majoring in pharmacology next year and I hope to persue pharmacology as a career path in my future!

Biotron Experimental Climate Change Research Centre, Western University — Research Assistant

September 2022 - Present

I am a volunteer research assistant in an ongoing study about the effects of climate change on plant growth. In this role, I’ve helped with harvesting crops, lab maintenance and organization, data collection and more.

Bishop Strachan School, Toronto — Facilities Management

July - August, 2021 & 2022

For the past two summers, I’ve been a part of the facilities management team at BSS. I assisted the school in reorganizing all of their paraphernalia to abide by covid-19 regulations as well as with general maintenance jobs. I also gained valuable experience with taking inventory, organizing inventory spreadsheets, and learned to become someone my colleagues could rely on.

Western University, London — Bachelor of Medical Sciences

September 2021 - April 2025

I am currently in my second year at Western University studying medical sciences. I recieved the scholarship of distinction upon acceptance to Western and I received a spot on the Dean’s Honour List (80+) after completing my first year. I will be majoring in pharmacology in my third year and am strongly considering a career in pharmacology after I graduate.

Crescent School, Toronto — Ontario Secondary School Diploma

September 2017 - May 2021

I attended Crescent School for gr5-12 twelve attaining a spot on the honor roll each year and a spot on the headmasters honour roll in my graduating year (90+).
