Sungmok Cho

I am currently pursuing the Computer Systems Technology Diploma at BCIT.

I also previously completed a bachelor's in Energy Engineering at the University of Calgary. During my first degree, I worked in many positions ranging from an office assistant to customer service in the food industry to quality assurance testing. These opportunities also allowed me to translate between Korean and English, ensure customer satisfaction, and handle team schedules and communication respectively.

I am always open to learning new knowledge (such as Computer Science!) and I value each and every opportunity given to me.

Project Assistant

• Assisted in the development of engineering plans and laboratory activities with various equipment,including Gas Chromatography (GC) machine
• Supported senior engineer in numerical analysis for designing a partial upgrading plant based on research and engineering assumptions
• Obtained $10K in funding from the Alberta provincial government to cover the cost of building a prototype model

Fluid Mechanical Engineer Internship 

•  Built test structures and meshed them before simulating
• Assisted senior engineers in analyzing simulation results
