Registered Nurse with 17 years of diverse clinical experience, progressive clinical leadership, and over eight years specializing in virtual healthcare delivery, digital health innovation, and clinical operations. Early in my career, I mentored nursing students in the operating room before transitioning into teaching clinical laboratory sessions for psychiatric nursing students. As my career evolved into virtual primary care, I expanded leadership experience through clinician recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, education, mentorship, quality improvement, and program development within rapidly growing healthcare organizations. I have contributed to the growth of three Canadian virtual healthcare startup organizations, supporting clinical operations, workflow optimization, policy development, healthcare technology implementation, and patient care delivery.
During the rapid expansion of virtual care following the acquisition of Akira by TELUS health virtual care and throughout the Covid 19 pandemic, I interviewed, hired, trained and mentored dozens of Registered Nurses while continuing to provide direct virtual patient care.
