My name is Tanisha, and I have a diverse educational background in pharmacy, business administration, and regulatory affairs. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in regulatory affairs at Northeastern University in Toronto, and I am also gaining practical experience through a co-op position at Shoppers Drug Mart, where I work in audit and compliance. Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a strong interest in ensuring that products and services meet regulatory requirements and are safe for consumers.
I am excited to continue learning and growing in this field and contributing to the development of effective and compliant systems.
I am currently working as an Audit and Compliance Intern at Shoppers Drug Mart Head Office in Toronto since January 2023. I have conducted internal audits and identified areas of non-conformance, creating best practice documents reference guides and updating standard operating procedures for 1200 pharmacies across Canada to ensure compliance. I have also implemented audit support strategies, developed training materials, and established a continuous improvement process that resulted in an improvement in audit scores.
In addition, i have been working as a Technical Item Writer for RAPS, where i am created test questions for regulatory compliance exams, and as a Technical Committee Lead for NURA, i am involved in researched and drafting articles about Canadian health and medical regulations and organized regulatory affairs events and seminars. Previously, i have worked as a Medical Writer for Techizer Tech Solutions Private and as a Quality Assurance Intern for Cipla. i am also currently conducting research on 3D printing of medical devices and its regulatory challenges and has also write blogs for consumer education on labelling , compliance and food and drug safety issues and topic that can have an impact on patient safety
MBA (Master of Business Administration) and Masters of Science in Regulatory Affairs
