A senior geotechnical engineer with over 15 years of experience in executing geotechnical investigations, design, and construction field reviews. Completed an undergraduate degree in civil engineering (B.Eng., 2007) from Dalhousie University and a Masters of Engineering in geotechnical engineering (M.Eng., 2016) from the University of British Columbia.
I am currently exploring career opportunities in the Middle East.
Experience in shallow and deep foundation design for various structures, slope stability analyses for embankments and cut slopes, ground improvement for settlement and stability control, liquefaction-triggering and seismic assessment including site-specific response analysis, excavation support using sheet piles, and pile driveability analysis and signal matching of high-strain dynamic test results. Proficient in several design software programs including GRLWEAP software for driveability analysis, Allwave DLT software by Allnamics for signal matching analysis, Slope/W, Settle3D, DEEPSOIL, LPILE, GROUP, and CT Shoring.
Projects completed include small to large scale commercial and municipal developments, marine ports, bridge and culvert crossings, plant sites for oil and gas and mining projects, electrical substations, and transmission lines.
A good understanding of several design codes and standards including the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual (CFEM), AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications, National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), and other U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) design manuals.
Experience in an array of challenging geotechnical conditions such as highly compressible peats, very soft and compressible clays, pre-sheared clays, and liquefiable sands.
I completed a Masters of Engineering degree from the University of British of Columbia in geotechnical engineering (M.Eng., 2016).
