About
I have been teaching since 2006. The first 3 years of my career were in a remote First Nations community up on James Bay, and after moving to Toronto in 2009, I have been teaching in Richmond Hill. I’m currently employed by the York Region School Board as a French Immersion teacher, teaching Grade 7/8, and I have been with the board since 2009. I have also been working for Twinkl Educational Publishing since April of 2023.
Since beginning my role with Twinkl, I have enjoyed working as a team and leading 11 other individuals who share the same goals of creating educational resources in order to help students and teachers. My Team leader responsibilities have been managing workflow using Atlassian and Google workspace, conducting team meetings to provide training and revising/creating guidance to improve workflow. In my school role, I have had the opportunity to work as the Intermediate Lead Teacher.
In that role, I attended regular meetings with administrators and other lead teachers. I was also responsible for organizing intermediate team meetings with my colleagues in order to pass on information from my administrators, as well as getting feedback from my colleagues to find out what our administrators could do to support the team.
I am constantly looking for new challenges and opportunities in order to strengthen my skills and portfolio.
