I am currently completing a masters of neuroscience and am expected to graduate this summer 2025. I am passionate about research and committed to making a meaningful impact in advancing the health science world. Some of my hobbies include taking my dog on long walks and spending time with my family and friends.
Most of my experience stems around academics where I have worked as research assistant in several different labs studying neuroscience and psychology. I have hands-on experience in rodent-work and processing tissue analyses. As a teaching assistant, I've supported undergraduate students in their classes and assisted professors throughout the course.
Beyond the lab, I have spent time shadowing neurodiverse adults to foster daily living skills. My background in caregiving and archival/administrative management has honed my organizational skills.
I am pursuing an MSc in neuroscience with a 4.0 GPA, independently leading my thesis research under Dr. Alfonso Bucio Abizaid. During this time I have advanced my technical expertise in rodent surgery, fluorescent and calcium imaging, and histological methods. I've also refined my statistical skills in R, SPSS, and Python, while strengthening my scientific writing and project management skills.
