Resourceful and adaptable Instrumentation Technician with a solid foundation in instrumentation technology, tower maintenance, construction, and agricultural operations. Experienced in industrial settings such as oil and gas facilities, with hands-on expertise in confined space entry, mechanical disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of internal tower components. Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints, following strict safety protocols, and performing effectively in high-pressure, physically demanding roles. Demonstrated ability to manage operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with diverse teams, recognized for a strong work ethic, excellent communication, and commitment to safety and quality. I am currently seeking an opportunity to join a dynamic organization where I can apply my skills, technical knowledge, and experience to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
I am currently completing my Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and will be graduating in December 2025. I am eager to launch my career in instrumentation, where I can leverage my theoretical knowledge, technical training, and practical industrial experience to contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Through my coursework at NAIT, I have developed a solid understanding of process control,
measurement systems, PLC programming, calibration, and instrumentation maintenance. This academic foundation is complemented by my practical experience as a Tower Mechanic with
Sulzer Chemtech Inc., where I worked in confined spaces to inspect, remove, and reinstall internal components of distillation towers. I also have experience interpreting technical drawings, using precision tools, and adhering to strict safety standards.
In addition to my technical education, my previous roles in construction and agricultural operations have strengthened my teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills. I hold multiple safety certifications from Energy Safety Canada, including Confined Space Entry
Monitor, Fall Protection, and H2S Alive, underscoring my commitment to safety and professionalism in all aspects of my work. I hold a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and have reliable personal transportation, ensuring dependable commuting. I also maintain a current passport, enabling any travel requirements as needed.
As I prepare to complete my studies, I seek to acquire my Journeyman certification and other required safety training. I am eager to contribute my growing expertise to a dynamic team,
develop my technical skills further, and make a dedicated contribution to the organization’s success. I am confident that my education, combined with my hands-on industrial experience,
makes me a strong candidate for the Instrumentation Technologist or Technician position within any organisation.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how I can -add value to your team and contribute to your company’s operational goals.
