I am a fourth-year student in Accounting and Financial Management (Co-op) at the University of Waterloo graduating in 2023, experienced with financial modelling, risk management, and investment analysis, striving to pursue my CPA & CFA designations. I have a strong work ethic and a experience in financial markets and data analytics.

I am a very ambitious and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation of financial modelling, problem solving skills, understanding of financial markets, and proficient technical skills (Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, VBA, SQL, Bloomberg Terminal, Python).

As a Treasury Risk Analyst at RBC Capital Markets, I gained a strong understanding of financial securities (Derivatives, Fixed Structured Notes, Term Repos, Asset-backed Securities, Mortgage-backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage-backed Securities) and exposure to RBC’s world class risk management team with a high level of knowledge in the complex ticket-clearing system and funding process. I worked alongside the trading desk, where I analyzed and monitored the short-term TMS 1-Year Rates in Bloomberg Terminal monthly and reflected the transition from LIBOR to SOFR. During my co-op term, a senior manager resigned, and I immediately took the initiative and a strong willingness to learn by taking over a complicated Inter-Segment Liquidity Attribution (ISLA) process with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines, which provided a key input to management’s decision for next month’s net position placement into Capital Markets.

Last term, I had the opportunity to take Private Equity and Equity Investments courses from the University of Waterloo which helped to deepen my understanding of financial markets (public vs private) and applied these skills to conduct industry research, qualify value creation drivers, complete a thorough Leveraged Buyout model, and presented my findings to Steve Balaban (CFA Research Institute). In the Equity Investments course, I conducted industry and company specific business due diligence, valuation, sensitivity & financial analysis, evaluation of investment risks to prepare an equity research report for Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD).
