Vraj Patel

Hi my name is Vraj Patel and I am currently enrolled in my second year of Electrical engineering at McMaster University. On top of my studies, I am also part of two extracurricular activities that are related to engineering. First is McMaster HealthHATCH, in this club we work closely with a professor to make a biomedical device to help the medical field to ease the job for nurses, doctors, and medical staff.

Second is McMaster SolarCAR developement. In this club we are required to make a car that runs on solar energy. I specify in the power management team under the electrical subteam in the club. I also work on many projects by myself that are not related to school and have a passion for learning and expanding my knowledge.

I had various experience in various fields of work. To start off with, I was a field engineer assistant. During this job I would go to various work sites to fix, upgrade, and install POS (point of sale) systems.

Not only that, but I would also go to company headquarters to upgrade and make the company servers faster. Also did computer upgrades in bulk. I had various small business internships. These interships were marketing and business research related and were each small projects.

It was researching about marketing trends and helping businesses grow themselves. Currently, I am not working a job due to school but I am part of two extra curricular activities related to electrical engineering. These two extra curricular activites were listed in the “About Me” section of the application.

My most relavent education is the one I am currently in. I am at McMaster University for Electrical Engineering. I had various courses to gain new knowledge from both in my first and second year. The first year was general engineering and I specialied in electrical engineering for my second year.

During my first year the courses were general so general calculus, chemistry, physics, and project courses where we made 4 different engineering projects all lasting 2 months each. During my second year, there courses are more specified, therefore there was a electrical engineering course, logic design, microprocessor, programming, and more.
