- Conducted a GIS analysis for the client Staatsolie Suriname, Suriname’s state-owned oil company.
- Created a least-cost model to determine the optimal/ lowest cost route for the location of a proposed pipeline connecting the Staatsolie Refinery in Paramaribo to a landing point near an offshore site.
- Developed various routing criteria for the model such as the land use type, distance to roads, buildings, protected areas, water bodies etc.
- Proposed four different scenarios for the location of the pipeline route, with each scenario including different weighing of the routing criteria.
