Research Lead, Bone Phantom (Thesis Project) Sept 2023 – Present

• Lead research and design of a bone replica using hydroxyapatite, focusing on mimicking the absorption properties of human bone.
• Conducted extensive literature reviews to optimize the creation process, resulting in a prototype with 35% increased porosity, enhancing its functional similarity to real bone.
• Utilized X-ray beams for precise measurement of bone phantom porosity, providing critical data for improving diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy accuracy.
• Performed quality control on testing compounds and calibrated the X-ray machine to yield 99.4% accuracy in readings.
