Analyzed the optical and electrical properties of sepia melanin from cuttlefish ink to develop biodegradable, biosourced materials for optoelectronic devices, particularly solar cells. Optimized the extraction, deposition methods, and composition of the melanin samples through aqueous chemistry testwork, optical measurements (reflection, and transmission using a spectrophotometer), and microscopic observations of granule stacking to enhance conductivity. Improved current production under controlled temperature and alternating light conditions, advancing biopigment efficiency and contributing to sustainable innovation in renewable energy solutions
