I am a computer science and neuroscience student currently engaged with bio-computational research projects at McGill University. My primary interests are in Software Design and Applied Machine Learning (Vision and NLP).

Undergraduate Research Student | Lab for Natural and Simulated Cognition @ McGill University

May 2021 - August 2022 | Montreal, Canada | Undergraduate Research Course Project

• Integrated the You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm with the Neural Probabilistic Learning and Sampling (NPLS) algorithm to simulate probability understanding in developing children after viewing images containing different proportions of colored marbles.
• Performed correlational analysis and revealed significant correlations (p < 0.05) between the performance of the simulated model and actual performance in children.

• Implemented software to identify filamentous proteins on micrographs using Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC), DBSCAN/Optics clustering algorithms, and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN).
• Used the software to help create 3D-reconstructions of proteins of up to 4.6 angstroms resolution, comparable to academic standards, and eliminated the need to label all micrographs manually.
• Implemented image cross-detecting methods using KD-trees and skeletonization to detect crosses of filamentous proteins on a 2D image plane.
• Created intuitive Graphical User Interfaces for the software with Tkinter and PySimpleGui.
• Co-authored in journal submission (Nature Communications).
