PDD Analytical Data Science teams are mobilized across the portfolio to generate data-driven insights, identify opportunities for scale, and implement impactful solutions. We identify, influence, and adopt industry-leading digital and automation solutions, develop analytical approaches to support exploratory analyses, and align statistical programming practices across both early- and late-stage clinical development. /pThe OpportunitypThe Analytical Data Science Programmer is a key contributor to the clinical study team, responsible for transforming statistical analysis plans into high-quality, traceable programming deliverables. This includes both static and dynamic outputs, such as tables, listings, figures, and interactive data visualizations or dashboards. /ppThe role involves creating and validating datasets in accordance with Study Data Tabulation Model and Analysis Data Model standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Roche standards. In addition to supporting regulatory submissions, the ADS Programmer plays a critical role in generating data insights through platforms such as the Insight Engine, enabling real-time exploration and interpretation of diverse clinical and exploratory data.

This role contributes to a modern, insight-driven development environment by facilitating robust, timely, and decision-enabling analytics across clinical programs. /pullipYou support the development and validation of datasets and statistical outputs for clinical studies, including Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) datasets, Analysis Data Model (ADaM) datasets, and tables, listings, and figures (TLFs), by following established internal standards and using validated programming tools. /p /lilipYou contribute to the programming and analysis of a broader range of data types, including biomarker and exploratory datasets, to support scientific discovery beyond regulatory submissions. /p /lilipYou support exploratory analyses across disease areas and assist in developing visualizations or dashboards for data exploration using interactive applications and data insights platforms. /p /lilipYou generate programming deliverables (e.g., TLFs and datasets) under guidance, applying standard macros and functions in line with Roche programming practices. /p /lilipYou participate in documentation and quality control activities, contributing to reproducible and accurate outputs and ensuring alignment with programming specifications. /p /lilipYou assist in resolving technical issues in code or output by analyzing discrepancies and escalating as needed. /p /lilipYou collaborate with senior programmers to understand study requirements and execute assigned programming tasks. /p /lilipYou engage in learning activities to grow knowledge of clinical research and programming standards, including developing basic understanding of Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) standards. /p /lilipYou work under general supervision and apply independent judgment to interpret guidance, prioritize responsibilities, and make decisions in situations that require contextual understanding. /p /lilipYou apply judgment to address moderately complex statistical or data issues, balancing scientific rigor with appropriate flexibility, and seek guidance when facing novel or ambiguous situations. /p /lilipYou adhere to functional standards by participating in peer review and mentoring relationships to uphold quality and build methodological and programming expertise. /p /li /ulWho you areullipYou hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or a related field. /p /lilipYou have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in statistical programming, or an advanced degree with 0-2 years of equivalent work experience. /p /lilipYou have basic knowledge of a modern programming language (such as, but not limited to, SAS or R programming) and visualization/review tools. /p /lilipYou have a basic understanding of statistical quality, endpoints, and QC processes. /p /lilipYou demonstrate strong logical thinking and attention to data integrity. /p /lilipYou bring effective communication and collaboration skills. /p /lilipYou demonstrate respect for cultural differences when interacting with colleagues in the global workplace. /p /lilipYou are fluent in English. /p /li /ulPreferred Qualifications:ullipExpertise in handling and analyzing different types of data (multi-modal) to identify and implement programming/analytical strategy. /p /lilipFamiliarity with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM). /p /lilipDemonstrated interest and critical thinking in data quality, reproducibility, and continuous learning. /p /lilipAbility to follow technical documentation and contribute to team processes. /p /lilipEffective communication skills with the ability to translate complex statistical concepts for non-statistical audiences. /p /lilipExperience with multiple phases of drug development (early and/or late stage). /p /lilipExcellent communication skills, including the ability to influence and translate complex data for non-technical stakeholders. /p /li /ulpRelocation benefits are not available for this posting. /pp#PDDT #PDDBasel /pWho we arepA healthier future drives us to innovate.
