Data Engineer, Sr. (Remote)

About the Role addexpert is seeking a Senior Oracle Data Engineer to support the delivery of business-critical data solutions within a financial services environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, enhancing Oracle database components, and ensuring reliable data availability for operational and analytical purposes. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into robust data-engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Data Engineering team in delivering reliable and business-critical data solutions.

Design, develop, and enhance ETL/ELT processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL components.

Analyze and improve Data Warehouse queries, data-processing logic, and loading procedures.

Implement technical requirements independently from the product and feature backlog.

Ensure efficient and scalable data-processing workflows.

Collaborate closely with business departments, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Participate in the continuous improvement of the organization's data platform and architecture.

Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.

Perform testing and validation to ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, transformation, and warehouse loading processes.

Contribute to best practices in data engineering, performance optimization, and database development.

Required Qualifications

Several years of professional experience in Oracle Data Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with:

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)

Oracle SQL

PL/SQL

Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes.

Strong understanding of database performance optimization and query tuning.

Experience working with enterprise data-integration environments.

Ability to independently implement technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented working style.

Excellent German language skills.

Good English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse solutions.
