Role Description The Database Developer role at EgoTECHworld is a full-time remote position focused on designing, building, and optimizing database solutions to support applications and business processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining database structures, writing and tuning queries, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity and performance. The role involves collaborating with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient database models and workflows.

Developer will also contribute to documentation, troubleshoot data-related issues, and support ongoing improvements to data architecture and standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Database Development and Database Design to build scalable, reliable data structures and solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration to manage performance, security, backups, and monitoring of database environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Analytical Skills to integrate data from multiple sources and support reporting and analytics.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL technologies is beneficial.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with data warehousing, cloud database services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and version control tools is an advantage.
