About the Role

ElevenMusic is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of product features from initial discovery through development, deployment, and ongoing improvement. You will work across frontend and backend systems, turning emerging AI capabilities into practical features for music listeners and creators.

This role suits an engineer who combines strong technical skills with product judgment, independence, and a genuine interest in music. You will collaborate closely with engineers and AI researchers in a remote-first environment that values experimentation, rapid releases, and measurable product impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product features throughout the full development lifecycle, from identifying user needs and defining problems to building, testing, deploying, and maintaining production-ready solutions.
• Build and improve full-stack functionality for a consumer music application focused on discovering, listening to, creating, remixing, and streaming music.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and intuitive frontend and backend systems that support a seamless user experience.
• Identify product opportunities independently, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and turn ideas into useful features.
• Collaborate with research engineers to integrate emerging AI models and capabilities into music experiences.
• Prototype, test, and refine features quickly, using user feedback and product performance to guide decisions.
• Review code critically, identify security vulnerabilities and architectural weaknesses, and reduce unnecessary complexity.
• Take responsibility for the reliability and performance of shipped features, proactively identifying and resolving production issues.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and workflows to accelerate implementation, improve code quality, and support experimentation.
• Contribute to a fast-moving engineering culture built around autonomous decisions, continuous integration, frequent releases, and measurable outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience building and launching a well-designed consumer product from the ground up and bringing it to real users.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills, with hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development and a solid understanding of the systems you build.
• Sound technical judgment and strong code review skills, including the ability to identify implementation errors, security risks, architectural issues, and unnecessary complexity.
• Strong product intuition and the ability to prioritize valuable opportunities while recognizing which features should not be built.
• A proactive, autonomous working style and the ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
• Commitment to maintainable code, reliable systems, engineering quality, and production ownership.
• Experience working in fast-paced product environments that require experimentation, rapid iteration, and frequent releases.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and an interest in applying emerging technologies to consumer products.
• Genuine interest in music, music creation, or the needs of artists and music creators.
• Ability to work remotely from Europe or the US East Coast, with availability within the GMT-5 to GMT+1 time-zone range.

Preferred Qualifications

• An active open-source or GitHub portfolio.
• Experience developing music or audio products.
• Familiarity with recommendation systems, embeddings, or related technologies.

Work Arrangement

• This is a remote-first position based in Switzerland as listed, with remote work eligibility across Europe and the US East Coast, subject to the required time-zone overlap.
• Team members may also work from company offices in London, New York, Dublin, Amsterdam, or Warsaw.
