Company Description
At PQ Technologies AG (PQT), we build data processing solutions for the financial industry, working with both structured and unstructured data. Our focus is the End-to-End Compliance & Risk process at banks and financial institutions, in particular Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML).
We are a multidisciplinary team of 10–15 people in Zurich, combining deep domain expertise in Compliance & Risk with strong engineering capabilities. Our software runs inside our clients' critical processes at leading financial institutions, tested and relied on daily.
Role Description
We are looking for an intern for a paid, 6-month fixed-term internship, supporting the development of data processing and evaluation systems on top of our Nucleus Compliance & Risk Engine, for leading financial institutions. You'll work closely with our engineers and our Compliance & Risk specialists, and contribute to projects that go live with our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Develop (Python) code for data processing and evaluation on our Nucleus Compliance & Risk Engine
- Perform data analysis on real datasets in the KYC/AML domain
- Support the delivery teams with analysis, testing, documentation and preparation of client sessions

Location & commitment
- Hybrid — Zurich office, with remote days
- Fixed-term internship, 6 months, 70–100%
- Start date: 1 September 2026
- CHF 4,200 gross per month (paid internship)
- No relocation support and no visa sponsorship; travel is limited to occasional client meetings
- Extension or permanent role possible after the internship
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a BSc or MSc in a STEM field at a Swiss university, or a recent graduate
- Programming knowledge and experience in Python
- A good understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with different types of duties
- Valid permission to work in Switzerland
- The drive to work independently and pick up new things across different areas
- Nice to have — experience working on code collaboratively
