Java Developer

Java DevOps Engineer / Hibernate / JPA / Java / Spring Boot / Azure / 100% / Zurich

Project: For an agile DevOps team in a SAFe environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java DevOps Engineer to develop and operate a new platform for digital onboarding and the digital opening of banking products.

You will develop new services, extend existing applications, and ensure their stable and secure operation. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Engineers, and the software architecture team, actively contributing your ideas to the technical design and further development of the platform.

Start date: November 1, 2026, 100% for 24 months in Zurich.

Tasks:

• Development, expansion and operation of self-developed services based on Java and modern backend technologies
• Ensuring the quality and safety of the developed solutions, taking into account internal and external safety standards.
• Continuous optimization and further development of operational processes
• Collaboration in the conception and technical design of new and existing services
• Advising the department on technical feasibility and possible solutions.
• Close collaboration with product owners, business engineers, and the architecture team to develop optimal solutions.
• Active participation in an agile DevOps team

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in Java development with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and relational databases
• Strong knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes and Helm, as well as experience in DevOps operations and the continuous improvement of services.
• Knowledge of Angular and TypeScript as well as experience in agile teams (SAFe is an advantage)
• Independent, analytical and solution-oriented work style as well as good communication skills in exchange with technical and professional stakeholders.
• Advantages: Kotlin, PostgreSQL, HTML5/CSS3, and experience with software architecture and security standards
