# Senior Software Engineer – Java & Angular

## About the Role

Fincons Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong Java backend development expertise and frontend skills in Angular. You will join an Agile Release Train (ART) operating in a SAFe environment and contribute to innovative CRM projects, transversal feature development, and enterprise system bug fixing.

The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, and testing Java-based backend solutions, microservices, and REST APIs while collaborating with Agile teams and product owners. You will also apply secure coding practices and contribute to robust solutions aligned with regulatory requirements.

## Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, integrate, and test Java-based backend solutions.

* Develop and maintain microservices architectures and REST APIs.

* Act as a subject matter expert for Java, microservices, and API solutions.

* Support the lifecycle management and development of robust Java solutions.

* Collaborate with Agile teams and provide expert consultation to product owners.

* Gather requirements and document solutions aligned with business objectives.

* Develop new transversal features for enterprise systems.

* Perform bug fixing and system maintenance activities.

* Apply secure coding best practices to build robust and secure solutions.

* Ensure solutions align with applicable regulatory requirements.

* Contribute to test automation and software quality practices.

* Work within Agile and SAFe environments.

## Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.

* At least 5 years of experience in software design and development.

* Strong experience with Java 21 through version 25.

* Excellent command of Java Streams, Lambda expressions, and try-with-resources.

* Good knowledge of recent Angular versions.

* Excellent knowledge of microservices architecture.

* Advanced practical skills with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Data.

* Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

* Solid knowledge of JPA and Hibernate, including entity modeling, query optimization, transaction management, and persistence-layer best practices.

* Experience with test automation using JUnit and TDD.

* Experience with relational databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.

* Experience with stored procedures.

* Experience with Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD.

* Knowledge of SwaggerHub and ability to understand and manage JSON API payloads.

* Experience working in Agile and SAFe environments.

* Proficiency in Italian and English.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

* Experience with Cucumber.

* Additional relevant experience in enterprise CRM systems.

## Work Arrangement & Schedule

* Location: Canton Ticino, Switzerland, or Italian border areas close to Switzerland, such as Como.

* Relocation: Candidates should be prepared to relocate to the specified Swiss or nearby Italian areas.

* Work From Home: WFH days may be possible according to the client's policy.
