Job Description
Strong Java-first DevOps Engineer/Architect with hands-on expertise in Spring-based microservices, API engineering, and production-grade deployments, focusing on reliability, observability, and security in BFSI environments.
Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)
- Core Java Engineering
- 7 years of strong hands-on Java development
- Deep expertise in Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem
- Understanding of JVM internals and performance tuning
- Experience building Java-based microservices with end-to-end ownership
- API Engineering
- Strong experience in REST API design, versioning and lifecycle management
- Experience with API security (OAuth2 / OpenID Connect)
- Ownership of production-grade APIs
- DevOps & Deployment
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for Java applications
- Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes (mandatory)
- Experience in Linux environments
- Experience with reverse proxies (Apache / Nginx)
- Reliability Engineering
- Experience in monitoring and observability (Grafana / Prometheus / Dynatrace)
- Hands-on experience in incident management and RCA
- Experience designing fault-tolerant systems
- Database
- Strong experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle)
- Security
- Strong understanding of OAuth2 / OpenID Connect
- Knowledge of TLS/SSL, certificates and encryption fundamentals
- Experience implementing secure APIs
