Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java / Angular Engineer to join a customer-focused IT consulting environment in Zurich.

In this role, you will contribute to software development projects, work closely with business departments and application managers, and take responsibility for technical deliverables within an agile Scrum environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong Java/Spring and Angular development skills with experience in Oracle SQL, REST APIs and Azure, ideally gained within the private or corporate pension / financial services domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clarify technical and functional topics with relevant departments and application managers.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring and Angular.
• Work with Oracle SQL and relational databases.
• Design and integrate REST APIs.
• Work with Microsoft Azure technologies and cloud-based solutions.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including:
• Effort estimation
• Sprint planning
• Task prioritisation
• Contribute to projects and take ownership of assigned technical deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with developers, application managers, business stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable and reliable software solutions.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in Java development.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular.
• Very good knowledge of SQL, preferably Oracle.
• Solid experience with REST APIs and application integration.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
• High attention to quality and detail.
• Team-oriented, communicative and customer-focused personality.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for deliverables.
