Your Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision and target architecture of the Fees platform.
- Design, develop and evolve high-performance Java and API-based solutions.
- Lead architectural decisions, technical reviews and engineering standards.
- Contribute hands-on to key developments and strategic initiatives.
- Coach and mentor engineers while promoting engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Architects to align technology with business goals.
- Drive platform modernisation, technical debt reduction and continuous improvement.
- Promote DevOps, CI/CD and software engineering best practices.
- Ensure security, resiliency, scalability and operational readiness of solutions.
- Support complex production issues and lead root cause analyses.
- Maintain architecture documentation and technical roadmaps.
Your Profile
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Lead, Technical Architect or Senior Software Engineer.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring and API-driven architectures.
- Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise-grade software architectures.
- Experience in complex, business-critical environments, ideally within financial services.
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum), CI/CD, Git, Maven and modern engineering practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and containerised deployments.
- Experience with Kafka, MQSeries or similar messaging technologies.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring experience.
- Autonomous, pragmatic and ownership-driven mindset.
