# Lead Software Developer – Java / Angular / Test Automation

## About the Role

ITech Consult is seeking a Lead Software Developer for a project in Bern and the surrounding region. In this role, you will actively shape an end-to-end test automation solution while taking responsibility for technical decisions and supporting the development team with your experience and expertise.

The position combines hands-on software development with strong knowledge of software architecture, test automation, and modern development processes. The assignment is planned at 100% capacity through the end of the year, with an option for extension.

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop and enhance high-quality software solutions using Java and Angular.

* Design and optimize end-to-end test automation solutions.

* Provide technical leadership for architecture, technology, and implementation decisions.

* Develop and maintain critical software components with a focus on performance, scalability, and availability.

* Mentor and provide technical support to developers while promoting development best practices.

* Further develop test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development and automation processes.

* Contribute to test automation across web UIs, mobile applications, and APIs.

* Work with complex and distributed systems.

## Required Qualifications

* At least 10 years of experience in agile software development with Java and Angular.

* Several years of experience as a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or in a comparable role.

* Solid experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Appium.

* Very good knowledge of:

* Software architecture

* Kubernetes

* Docker

* GitLab

* CI/CD

* Experience with test automation for web UIs, mobile apps, and APIs.

* Experience working with complex, distributed systems.

* Completed education in Computer Science or Informatics (HF/FH/University/ETH).

* Very good German language skills.

* Good English language skills.

## Work Arrangement & Schedule

* Location: Bern and surrounding region, Switzerland.

* Work arrangement: 2 days on-site; remote work only from Switzerland.

* Workload: 100%.

* Start: Immediately or by agreement.

* Duration: Through the end of the year, with an option for extension.
