Role Description The SQL Developer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions that support various applications and business processes. Day-to-day tasks include writing and optimizing SQL queries, building and updating database structures, creating and managing ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and integrity across systems. The SQL Developer collaborates with other technical and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, translate them into robust data models, and troubleshoot performance or data-related issues.

The role also involves documenting database schemas, processes, and standards, as well as contributing to continuous improvement of data workflows and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Database Development and SQL programming, with experience building and maintaining relational databases.
• Proficiency in Database Design and Data Modeling to create scalable, efficient, and well-structured data solutions.
• Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret business requirements, analyze data issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Familiarity with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization for large data sets.
• Knowledge of one or more database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) and related tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
