As I have finished my trainee lawyer cursus and am highly interested in a position within your entity and searching to develop my skills in law further, I am pleased to submit my application for the above-mentioned position.
As evidenced by my academic and professional background, I possess serious legal skills - my University Bachelor of Laws having been obtained with Magna cum laude and my Master's degree with Summa cum laude.
In the course of my professional experience, I have been given, on numerous occasions, the opportunity to advise and defend individuals and companies in many legal fields.
In particular, I have, within the law firm DroitActif, gained valuable experience in advising companies. In this context, I drafted, in French and English, company regulations, contracts, good practice documents and legal opinions. I also followed up their disputes with their clients or employees.
I then had the opportunity to work in a law firm. Within this activity, I was able to practice in all areas of law and in numerous litigations. This experience has allowed me to develop significant experience in litigation management and to perfect my ability to draft pleadings and other complex and varied legal documents.
I have also completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Swiss and European data protection law. The latter is an excellent training for drafting regulations, information notices, general terms and conditions for data processing, for advising on best practices and managing problems (data loss/theft, IT problems, etc.). This training is all the more interesting in the context of the recent adoption of the European regulation on data protection which has important impacts on Switzerland due to its extraterritorial application.
