Sang Hwan Kim

I am a proficient programmer in Python and C++ through years of experience in machine learning and deep learning. Recently, I worked on improving the continual learning model in the classification task and implementing a generative model in the medical report generation task. I am equipped with strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms. Furthermore, I took various courses for big data processing using SQL, SPARK, and MongoDB during my Bachelor and Master programs.

I worked as a research assistant at the KrauthammerLab at the University of Zürich, where I improved the transformer-based model for radiology report generation and analyzed chest X-rays and reports. I also worked as a research assistant at the Data Analytics Lab at ETH Zürich, where I worked on emulating the formation of gravitational wave sources and collaborated with the University of Geneva. During my master, I implemented bee detection & tracking algorithm in order to measure the bio-diversity of specific region.

I interned at Samsung Electronics and worked on multi-task learning for semantic segmentation and depth regression.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from KAIST,

South Korea and I will complete my master's degree in Data Science at ETH Zurich by Spring 2023.
