I currently work for BCX an IT services company for 25 years. My current role is an IT Pre-Sales Specialist Sales – I provide presales technical support to various account executives - following the sales journey with them by handling the customer technical requirements, customer engagements and Lenovo technical configurations on solutions configurators - DCSC. I assist with general administration of sales - being quotations, invoicing, procurement, bid proposals, arranging of customer workshops and assisting with customer queries and follow ups.
Having worked in IT for many years and in all facets - I am able to be a jack of all trades for our account executives from assisting with many admin related functions and sales processes especially in the IT environment.
I work closely with the vendor EMEA teams, and I engage with them on many client accounts and together with Lenovo have made many successful sales.
My job functions include.
Partner with Sales Executives to drive B2B IT hardware sales across Dell, Lenovo, IBM, and Huawei enterprise portfolios.
Deliver technical presales support, including configuration and design of server and storage solutions using vendor tools: Dell OSC, Lenovo DCSC, IBM Econfig, and Huawei platforms.
Translate customer technical needs into tailored infrastructure solutions, collaborating directly with client IT teams.
Create and manage customer quotations, deal registrations, and Salesforce CRM entries to support the full sales lifecycle.
Lead vendor negotiations to secure cost-effective pricing and maximize value for both clients and the organization.
Maintain up-to-date technical certifications and attend OEM product updates to ensure solution accuracy and competitiveness.
Coordinate bid/tender responses, contributing to proposal development, compliance, and delivery accuracy.
Track and report on pipeline performance, participating in forecasting meetings and aligning with sales targets.
Own order tracking and procurement coordination, ensuring seamless post-sales execution including invoicing, delivery follow-up, and goods receipt.
Utilize advanced proficiency in Salesforce, SharePoint, SAP, MS Excel & Word for reporting and process management.
Engage in technical workshops, partner events, and OEM collaborations to stay current with product innovations and market trends.
Serve on internal committees: Employee Communication Forum, Operational Health & Safety, and Brand Ambassador initiatives.
