Senior Local Drupal Developer – Energy Department (PESR1) at African Development Bank (AfDB) (2020-03 – 2025-03)
Ensured the administration, evolution and security of the institutional site, Africa Energy Portal strategic platform of the African Development Bank (ADB) Energy Department based on Drupal.
- Implemented projects on the site related to the activity of the department including the Electricity Regulatory Index (ERI) in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024 a survey on the electricity regulation index in Africa involving the effective participation of 45 countries, managing internal and external users, data flows, and publishing processes.
- Designed views, notably for the extraction of targeted data such as the list of French-speaking, English-speaking countries that participated in the survey or sectoral indicators, in order to facilitate analysis and decision making.
- Designed and deployed the new design of the 'Country Profile' section, implemented the new format of the 'Projects and Investments' tab and proposed then integrated a new 'Energy Efficiency' tab in the Africa Energy Portal (AEP) portal in order to expand the thematic coverage and analytical value of the platform.
- Ensured the updating and management of contents and statistical data on access to electricity at rural, urban, national and regional (Eastern, West Northern, Southern) parts, including production and distribution means (solar, hydroelectric, thermal, etc.) as well as installed capacities, ensuring the reliability and consistency of the information used by decision-makers and partners.
- Took charge of installing, updating, and maintaining the Drupal modules to ensure the performance and security of the portal, while improving its visibility through tools like Google Analytics, allowing to increase the user base from about 5,000 to more than 10,000 visitors.
- In a logic of modernization and security, I contributed to the migration of the site from Drupal 8 to Drupal 10, accompanied by a redesign of the interface and user experience, which helped exceed the 10,000 regular visitors.
- Finally, I carried out functional tests before production and provided continuous application support to internal teams, systems engineers, and partners, ensuring reliable, high-performance systems aligned with the strategic objectives of the Energy Department.
