Antonia Zelaya

Industrial Designer with a degree from Universidad de Chile. I am 24 years old and based in Santiago. I am a curious person with a genuine interest in learning about different industries and how each one approaches its own design challenges.

Throughout my training I developed strong skills in user-centered design, prototyping, ideation, and problem-solving, always integrating product functionality with a carefully considered aesthetic. My approach balances practicality with visual appeal, understanding design as a tool that solves real needs without sacrificing the user's visual and sensory experience. I am currently seeking my first professional opportunity as a Product Designer, eager to grow my experience, keep learning, and bring a creative and functional perspective to the projects I take part in.

Design Intern - Innovación Circular SPA

• Led the ecodesign process for a national production line, from initial diagnosis through to the implementation proposal.
• Conducted a comparative environmental footprint assessment between the current product and the redesigned version.
• Defined the Eco-Briefing, establishing environmental and design requirements for product development.
• Designed the systems and components that made up the product line, integrating sustainability criteria.
• Developed the technical documentation package to support production implementation.
• Managed supplier selection and associated manufacturing cost definitions.

Design Intern - Reparalab, Circular SPA

• Worked within an upcycling and circular-economy design framework.
• Developed projects using discarded materials, primarily fabrics, polyurethane, and Kevlar sourced from toys.
• Refurbished discarded and donated toys.
• Ran hands-on workshops for children.
