Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Storing business sense to create and set Sephora China’s category strategy by closely working with Asia merchant team then translated into clear local actions
  2. Set clear business goals driving Sales & Profitability within the category.
  3. Drive operational excellency and able to effective working with cross teams Animation, Space planning, Supply China, Training, Retail, E commerce,
  4. Lead animation plan via Category insight, closely working with MKT team for communicating Sephora POV and attracting consumers to Sephora
  5. Supplier Base Management - Negotiation with brands on all aspects of commercial terms as well as “differentiated planning” based on Sephora’s unique proposition.
  6. A strong drive to develop a creative exclusive brand/portfolio with a good knowledge on how to help brand building within the Chinese Market.
  7. Excellent internal communication with departments such as marketing, training, logistics, and retail team etc. to drive focus and performance
  8. Review & optimize space and visual merchandising in ensuring correct in store category experience
  9. Active sourcing in new brands which enriches and optimizes the category of offer
  10. Leadership – Lead & Manage a team to drive the category as a core offer within the Sephora Business with clear direction, planning & performance objectives

Qualifications:

  1. At least Bachelor’s degree, MBA and overseas background is preferred
  2. Above 10 years management experience
  3. At least above 10 years’ related experience in buying, category management, with work experience in cosmetics, luxury brands, FMCG industry is highly recommended
  4. Excellent negotiation/communication/Organization/Leadership skill
  5. A good understanding of marketing is essential
  6. A Team player
  7. Proficient in English communication
